Kokomo Scanner Online Feed:

My home scanner provides audio to Broadcastify, which in turn broadcasts that audio over the internet to the browser page I have listed on the main page.
Broadcastify also broadcasts my feed to ALL the online (Apps) that you listen to on your mobile device such as Scanner Radio Pro, PoliceStream, Scanner 5-0….. (all different Apps, all broadcasting the same audio feed)
I only have control over the audio I send out to Broadcastify, I have no control over their servers or the Apps that re-broadcast my feed.
If I feel that the online feed is being used by a suspect to elude police or hinder capture, I can and will temporarily turn the audio off. I do that for officer safety.
I do it for your and my enjoyment. I do not get paid or financial benefit for doing so. I incur all costs.
KokomoScanner is a Pro Public Safety page. Public Safety bashing will not be condoned for any reason. (Nor will racism)
If you do not like the concept or the discussions, please leave without comment. I will do my best to stay off of your page.
The Moderators and I have full-time jobs or other hobbies and only post on here when we are listening to the scanner. It is not monitored 24/7.
I started this page so that people listening could comment or ask about things happening on or around Kokomo on the said scanner.
Kokomo Scanner
When did I start getting private messages asking “why were the police running around? I found it easier to just post the dispatch so everyone could listen or comment.
What I post on here is just the dispatch as it went out at the time. I try not to add to it or guess what’s going on. Things often turn out totally different than they were dispatched. Shots fired calls often turn out to be nothing more than loud noises ECT… I have heard a man passed out unconscious by the street turn into a stabbing scene.
It gets dispatched as it was described to the dispatcher by the victim or a witness.
I am just listening like you are, and if I’m at work I may not hear the outcome, if you can add to the post please feel free to let us know what’s going on.
Please use the guidelines described here when posting information: go to this link

Please try and not let some of the dispatches upset you, it sounds a lot busier than it actually is, and as I said things often turn out different than they started. I am not there so I don’t have any insight into what’s really going on.

I just heard a broadcast of an accident/incident just down the block. Should I go down and see what’s going on and report back?
A: Absolutely NOT. Please stay clear of incident scenes. You will just get in the way of responding to public safety personnel. Their job is hard enough without having to do crowd control.
Sit back and listen thru one of the online scanners listed above.
